25 Genomes: Mapping Nature's Code
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Sanger Institute in 2018, we're working with scientists, conservationists and wildlife experts to advocate 25 UK species to have their genomes sequenced for the first time.
The species have been divided into five zones - floundering, thriving, cryptic, iconic and dangerous. To liven things up, schools and public across the UK and beyond are having their say too. One species in each zone will be decided by a public vote through I'm a Scientist Get Me Out Of Here which runs over Novermber and December 2017.
Watch the video above for a teaser of the project, and visit the I'm a Scientist site to get involved.
