Continuing Professional Development

Our range of support for teachers, technicians and curriculum developers

We offer continuing professional development (CPD) for hundreds of teachers annually, helping the profession to keep up with latest developments in the fast paced world of genetics and genomics.

Working with partners such as the National Science Learning Centre, the Prince‚Äôs Teaching Institute and the Babraham Institute we host a range of courses, twilights, practice sharing events and conference sessions designed to upskill teachers on genomics science and build confidence.

Our current twilight sessions - Bioscience Lite - are currently open for booking. These take place alternately at the Wellcome Genome Campus and Babraham Institute. Videos from previous Bioscience Lite events focusing on Stem cells and the use of animals in research can be viewed here.

We also provide bespoke teacher training days on campus for groups of 10 or more, which can be tailored to the specific requirements of the group. Contact us to find out more.
