Mutations, cancers and monoprinting

Location: (click for map)

Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, CB10 1SA

Date:

Wed 23rd May, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Discover how the continual changes to the DNA in our cells can contribute to the development of cancer. Alex Cagan from the Wellcome Sanger Institute will share his research into how a better understanding this process is helping to tackle cancer. Tutors from the Curwen Print Study Centre will then guide you in creating prints inspired by this subject. You’ll learn how to use found textured objects and materials to create original multi-coloured and layered A4-sized images. Experiment with ghost or shadow prints, masking, reduction prints, counter proofs and building layered images for unique results. This workshop is suitable for all abilities.

Maximum 10 places.

Cost: £60, including all materials, lunch and refreshments. Use the “Book Now” button above to email your booking enquiry to the team at the Curwen Print Study Centre.
