Peterborough STEM Festival 2016
Join us at the first Peterborough STEM Festival to explore DNA through a range of hands-on activitiesPeterborough STEM Festival
What can genetics tell us about a person? You can unravel the structure of DNA with our sequence bracelets and look at how technologies are enabling us to understand how we are all related and where we’ve come from. We’ll be comparing some genetic characteristics of festival visitors by seeing which smells and tastes your genes enable you to detect.
The Wellcome Genome Campus Public Engagement team and scientists from the EMBL European Bioinformatics Institute and Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute will be on hand to help you with the activities and answer your questions about their research.
